In a room there are thirteen chestnut trunks suspended in horizontal position in the air at different heights. The trunks come from dead trees and they were emptied by a machine designed for that purpose. Within each trunk there is positioned a speaker. In this way the sound is amplified and modified by the volume and shape of the trunk itself. The sounds reproduced by the installation, come from the places where the trunks were taken, and from recordings made during their emptying. These sounds have been later processed in a digital way using softwares designed for this purpose and then compositionally assembled. In this way the user is immersed in a "still life" where the presence of the sound aspect combined with the imposing and impressive visual texture, give the work a great emotional and engaging impact.

In una sala sono presenti tredici tronchi di castagno sospesi in aria a diverse altezze e in posizione orizzontale. I tronchi provengono da alberi morti e sono stati resi cavi mediante un macchinario realizzato ad hoc. All'interno di ciascun albero vi è posizionato uno speaker. In questo modo il suono viene amplificato e modificato dal volume e dalla forma del tronco stesso. I suoni riprodotti dalla installazione, provengono dai luoghi ove sono stati prelevati i tronchi, e da registrazioni effettuate durante la loro lavorazione. Questi suoni successivamente sono stati elaborati in maniera digitale mediante software realizzati per questo scopo ed in seguito assemblati compositivamente. Il fruitore in questo modo si trova immerso in una “natura morta” ove la presenza dell'aspetto sonoro unito alla texture visiva decisamente imponente e suggestiva, conferiscono all'opera un sicuro impatto coinvolgente ed emotivo.
