Roberto Pugliese, electronics & visuals

This project, conceived by Roberto Pugliese, combines music performance with video and sound art, creating a continuous relationship of synergy between elements from artistic sectors different. Pugliese's live electronics settings, in counterpoint with Bacalov's percussion, create fertile ground for Costanza Savarese's extended vocality and the improvisation of Alberto Popolla. The sound of the voice and instruments is processed in real time by Pugliese who, in turn, has the ability to modify the electronics in response to the activity of the performer and the musicians themselves. The multi-media nature of the concert performative, it is therefore managed in real time thanks to the continuous feedback between the various components in the incessant creation of iridescent and meaningful structures that envelop the audience in a total, fluid and dense work of art. Presented for the first time at ArsElettronica 21, Hipogeios is proposed to the Madre in one new version, expressly dedicated to the museum and its users.

Gianfranco Tedeschi (double bass) and Gilda Buttà (piano) participated in the drafting of the electronic track. The styling of Costanza Savarese is curated, for this event, by Viviana Crosato.
