The idea of the work was born from the need to experiment with a practice different from the "concert form", a form that has always united all instrumental and non-instrumental music. With the advent of contemporary music, the management of performances has become increasingly complex between music and space surrounding the musical result, but experimentation is often aimed at an audience not yet ready to receive it. This requirement is at the origin of alternative methods of fruition such as events, immersive installations and Sound Art. The work tries to establish a dialogue between contemporary instrumental music and visual arts. The sculpture involves the insertion of six violins inside a metal tensile structure anchored to the wall. The instruments are fixed to the structure through braided metal cables anchored to some spacers. For the instruments, the artist composed a score that was performed by musicians and subsequently edited out thanks to a series of digital audio processes which were subsequently organized compositionally. Inside each instrument there is a high quality speaker that reproduces the associated recording. In this way the resulting sound absorbs all the resonances of the instrument giving it an incredible truthfulness. The contrast between the "classic" instruments and the result of a "contemporary" sound combined with the freedom of use and the articulated visual part returns work in balance between past and present which contextualises an idea of "new music".

L'idea dell'opera nasce dall'esigenza di sperimentare una pratica diversa dalla "forma concerto", forma che da sempre accomuna tutta la musica strumentale e non strumentale. Con l'avvento della musica contemporanea, la gestione delle performance è diventata sempre più complessa tra musica e spazio che circonda il risultato musicale, ma la sperimentazione è spesso rivolta ad un pubblico non ancora pronto a riceverlo. Questo requisito è all'origine di modalità alternative di fruizione come eventi, installazioni immersive e Sound Art. Il lavoro cerca di stabilire un dialogo tra la musica strumentale contemporanea e le arti visive. La scultura prevede l'inserimento di sei violini all'interno di una tensostruttura metallica ancorata al muro. Gli strumenti sono fissati alla struttura tramite cavi metallici intrecciati ancorati ad alcuni distanziatori. Per gli strumenti l'artista ha composto una partitura che è stata eseguita da musicisti e successivamente editata grazie a una serie di processi audio digitali che sono stati successivamente organizzati compositivamente. All'interno di ogni strumento è presente un altoparlante di alta qualità che riproduce la registrazione associata. In questo modo il suono risultante assorbe tutte le risonanze dello strumento conferendogli un'incredibile veridicità. Il contrasto tra gli strumenti "classici" e il risultato di un suono "contemporaneo" unito alla libertà di utilizzo e all'articolata parte visiva restituisce un lavoro in equilibrio tra passato e presente che contestualizza un'idea di "nuova musica".
