The idea for the work stems from the need to experiment with a different practice from the "concert form", a form that has always united all instrumental and non-instrumental music. With the advent of contemporary music, performance management has become increasingly complex between music and the space surrounding the musical result, but experimentation is often aimed at an audience that is not yet ready to receive it. This requirement is at the origin of alternative ways of fruition such as events, immersive installations and Sound Art. The work seeks to establish a dialogue between contemporary instrumental music and the visual arts. The sculpture features a violin which has been "augmented" by inserting 3D-printed trumpets that act as resonators. For the instrument, the artist has composed a score which has been performed by a musician and subsequently edited thanks to a series of digital audio processes which have subsequently been organized compositionally. Inside the instrument is a high quality speaker that plays the associated recording. In this way the resulting sound absorbs all the resonances of the instrument and of the "prostheses" attached to them, giving it an incredible truthfulness. The contrast between the "classic" instrument and the result of a "contemporary" sound, mediated by the grafts and combined with the freedom of use and the articulated visual part returns a work in balance between past and present that contextualizes an idea of "new music".

L'idea dell'opera nasce dall'esigenza di sperimentare una pratica diversa dalla "forma concerto", forma che da sempre accomuna tutta la musica strumentale e non strumentale. Con l'avvento della musica contemporanea, la gestione delle performance è diventata sempre più complessa tra musica e spazio che circonda il risultato musicale, ma la sperimentazione è spesso rivolta ad un pubblico non ancora pronto a riceverlo. Questo requisito è all'origine di modalità alternative di fruizione come eventi, installazioni immersive e Sound Art. Il lavoro cerca di stabilire un dialogo tra la musica strumentale contemporanea e le arti visive. La scultura prevede un violino il quale è stata "aumentato" mediante l'inserimento di trombe realizzate mediante stampa 3D che fungono da risonatori. Per lo strumento l'artista ha composto una partitura che è stata eseguita da un musicista e successivamente editata grazie a una serie di processi audio digitali che sono stati successivamente organizzati compositivamente. All'interno dello strumento è presente un altoparlante di alta qualità che riproduce la registrazione associata. In questo modo il suono risultante assorbe tutte le risonanze dello strumento e delle "protesi" ad esse annesse, conferendogli un'incredibile veridicità. Il contrasto tra lo strumento "classico" e il risultato di un suono "contemporaneo", mediato dagli innesti ed unito alla libertà di utilizzo e all'articolata parte visiva restituisce un lavoro in equilibrio tra passato e presente che contestualizza un'idea di "nuova musica".
